Ingredients

  • 1½ cups chickpea flour
  • 1½ cups water
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic (crushed/finely chopped)
  • oil for sauteing
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed/finely diced
  • 1 red capsicum/pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes or ground chilli
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or ground cumin
  • 250 g beef mince
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes or can whole tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • water or tomato juice of required
  • cornflour – optional for thickening if desired
