Ingredients

  • 150 grams of butter softened
  • 3/4 (3 quarters) cup caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons coffee & Chicory Essence (can be found in the coffee section of NZ supermarkets. You can substitute 2 tablespoons of instant coffee dissolved in 2 tablespoons of boiling water, but the coffee and chicory essence is the best flavour
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 150 grams butter, softened
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coffee and chicory essence
  • 50 grams dark chocolate to garnish, melted
