Ingredients

  • 2-3 hours Serves
  • Ingredients 1.2kg braising beef (I used oyster blade), cut into large chunks
  • 2 onions, cut into thick slices
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 cup beef stock
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste/puree
  • 2 dried bay leaves
  • 2 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 1 pack sugar snap peas, tailed
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • For the mashed potatoes
  • 6-7 Russet potatoes (about 1.5kg)
  • 70 g butter
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
